If it's such an issue for you and your husband insists on being a prick about it, you could wear that ring on a chain around your neck. Or have a jeweler look at it, maybe there's a way to coat the metal so it won't irritate. Ir replace the band with a different metal altogether (transfer stones to the new ring). Then have the original made into a necklace or something. Sounds childish and trite, but if your husband IS this way (sounds like it), you could have a little private ceremony in which HE replaces the ring. OR, he could just grow up and get over it.
